The Challenge: Tani vs Eric; and the Winner is....

So here it is. After 4 weeks the final results are below. Tani has taken the crown of "Biggest Loser" in our household.  She bested me in every category by percentage except for biceps. So not only did I get my butt kicked, my gun show is now nothing more than a side show.

What did we learn?


Keeping a food and exercise journal certainly keeps you honest!  I've learned that I NEED this journal to keep me focused and on track.  As I said earlier in the month, seeing results motivates me.  Hopefully we will be able to continue living this life style (maybe indulge on the weekends) and I can maintain my weight or even trim down some more.  Overall, I feel lean and fit and closer to finishing my first half marathon!


I learned that as much as I preach moderation, excess is possibly my greatest weakness. Or strength! Still not sure, but what I am sure of is I am all in or all out. "Go big or go home", "Ride it like you stole it" and "Live it like it's your last" are sayings that come to mind. I simply enjoy all of the things I love in my life way too much to moderate them. Family, sport, food and beverage........Perhaps if I indulge in all of them excessively they will even out to perfection:)


I was going to suggest you guess who wrote which paragraph above and then Tani reminded me that I have already run a half marathon:) Go Tani.....

  1. Awesome! Congrats Tani, I was going for you. But Eric at least you can put on some 33" pants now, for a couple days anyway til that beer kicks back in. I started keeping a food log recently and it most def keeps you honest. Great job guys. Tani good luck on your half mary.

  2. Congrats Tani! and great effort Eric.Looks like it was pretty close. I've had to have a food diary since my teens cuz I was gifted with the "fat family genetics" and could eat all day if I diddn't watch it. I LOVE that statement above... "if you indulge in all your excesses they will even out to perfection" I wish!
